In a message about relationships, Sara Jukes shares about Elijah (1 Kings 17) and two important lessons we can learn from his life, lessons that also appear in the lives of Adam and Eve (Genesis 2-3). The first lesson is to trust God to provide the right people in our lives. Just as God provided Eve for Adam, he provided the right people for Elijah at the times he needed. The second lesson – which really should be the first – is that we need to admit that we need God more than any other person. Adam and Eve needed God more than anyone else, as did Elijah! We need to depend on God and force the independence out of us. The good news is that, like He did with Elijah, God wants to redeem, restore and recommission us.
