Many of us want God to speak instantly, clearly, relevantly and with familiarity; however, the reality is often delay, ambiguity, distance and strangeness. We need patience to counter the delay, discernment to counter the ambiguity, discipline to counter the distance and wisdom to counter the strangeness.
