How’s Your Heart?

Sara Jukes asks the question, ‘how is your heart?’ in this message about the unfortunately named, ‘woman with the issue of blood’ (Mark 5). We all have issues that prevent us from coming to Jesus; however, like this woman, there are things that we can do in order to push through our personal crowd. For example, if we don’t feel that we are good enough, we need to push through and believe that we are chosen and worthy (Colossians 2). This woman gave her whole heart to Jesus, sharing the whole truth about her issue, and at once, the bleeding stopped. Her breakthrough was immediate, but her restoration was a process. Similarly, our own path to restoration starts with confession, results in Jesus’ acceptance and forgiveness and our response should then be one of celebration.
