Easter Sunday

During our All In Service on Easter Sunday, Ben Hodgson read the story titled, ‘The Donkey Who Carried a King’ by RC Sproul. The story tells of a Donkey who carried Jesus into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday who also witnesses the terrible treatment that the same King – Jesus – receives during his journey to the cross. Ben explains that there are things that Jesus wants us to carry (such as love, eternal life and joy) and there are things that are too heavy for us to bear (such as sin, fear and shame). We can take these things to the cross and because of the resurrection, we can receive the gift of so much more in return!
