Paul shares from Genesis 28:10-22 about Jacob who vowed to give a tithe to God, providing that God blessed him. This conditional vow demonstrated that Jacob was a work in process and so are we. Jacob had flaws that limited his ability to be fruitful but like Jacob, we can overcome them with God’s help! Esau was hungry for stew, Jacob had a hunger for himself, the Prodigal Son was hungry for home. What are you hungry for? Like Jacob, let’s be hungry for God and seek him in prayer and fasting.
