You Are Special

Using the children’s story called, ‘You Are Special’ by Max Lucado, Ben likens us to Punchinello, the small, wooden person who struggles with the marks given to him by other people. In the story, Punchinello visits his maker – Eli, the woodcarver – and begins to grow in confidence and self-esteem. God is our creator and our Father. If we come to him daily, spending time in His presence, we’ll eventually learn and believe that we are special, that we are loved and that we are His masterpiece.
